Now that Jill Kelley has broken her silence, David Petraeus's former gal pal could be next. The Daily Beast's Howard Kurtz on Broadwell's media strategy—and whether she'll be able to resume her career.

FACT-CHECK

The controversial church says Lawrence Wright's new book, Going Clear, is riddled with errors. Wright disagrees. The Daily Beast's Caitlin Dickson checks the facts.

GUNFIRE

Carlton Berry, 22, has been charged with aggravated assault after opening fire at Lone Star College in north Houston on Tuesday. Berry is currently being treated at Northwest Medical Center after apparently shooting himself when he mishandled his weapon. Berry allegedly opened fire after an altercation with another student, injuring that student and a janitor. The identities of the other man in the altercation, declared a "person of interest" by police, and the janitor have not yet been released. The incident, which prompted a campuswide lockdown, stoked fears of another deadly, mass school shooting—especially with memories of the Dec. 14 Newtown school shooting still fresh in everyone's minds.

FACE THE MUSIC

Hopefully this will live up to the Republicans' expectations. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will testify Wednesday in front of a joint House and Senate panel investigating her agency's actions following the attack on the consulate in Benghazi that killed the U.S. ambassador and three others. Clinton is expected to say that the State Department is moving forward with recommendations to avoid a repeat attack. She has already accepted full responsibility for the findings of the bipartisan Accountability Review Board, which found her office to be guilty of "systematic failures and leadership and management deficiencies" in a report last month. Republicans have eagerly awaited the chance to question Clinton, and have made it a prerequisite before confirming Sen. John Kerry as her replacement.

DEADLOCK

Well, this is unexpected. Early results on Tuesday from Israel's election showed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's right-wing party lost a quarter of its seats in government, and he will be forced to form a coalition government with the newly formed Yesh Atid party. Netanyahu's Likud-Beiteinu alliance still maintained the largest majority, with 31 seats, but Yesh Atid won a shocking 19 seats. Yesh Atid is led by popular former TV presenter Yair Lapid, and has demanded reform of the law that excuses ultra-Orthodox Jewish seminary students from serving in the military. Lapid's victory could also cause other headaches for Netanyahu, as Lapid has insisted he will only join a government committed to reviving the peace process with Palestine.

What Was Manti Te'o Thinking?

Despite continual coverage of the Manti Te'o saga, everyone still has a lot of questions. Hopefully Katie Couric can clear it up for all of us in her interview with him on January 24th.
