A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the ricin-laced letters that were sent to President Obama and Senator Roger Wicker last week. The previous suspect, Kevin Curtis, was arrested and then released on Tuesday when no incriminating evidence was found. Tupelo police chief said Everett Dutschke was arrested early Saturday morning after his home and former martial arts studio were searched. Read it at WTVA DISCOVERY 3. 9/11 Plane Part Found in NYC? More than 11 years after 9/11, a piece of one of the planes that hit the World Trade Center towers may have turned up in lower Manhattan. Two law enforcement sources tell NBC New York that the five-foot-long piece of debris was found stuck in a narrow alley between two buildings in lower Manhattan. (One building, 51 Park Place, is the site of the controversial "ground zero mosque.") The plane part, apparently landing gear, has the word "Boeing" stamped on it along with some numbers. The NYPD has now blocked off the area—if the part indeed belongs to a 9/11 plane, one source said, "it would be a crime scene." Read it at NBC New York ARE WE THERE YET? 4. Defense Cuts Stall Economic Growth New government data released Friday proves the economy is alive—but not quite kicking. The report shows that the gross domestic product grew at an annual rate of 2.5 percent during the first three months, a number that economists worry may be a sign of a soon-to-be stalled economy. Officials blame an 11.5 percent annual drop-off in military spending—a product of ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan—for the slowed growth. Combined with another even larger cut in military spending last year, it's the most drastic drop in defense expenditures America has seen since the Korean War.
