Salespeople Using Social Media Outsell Their Peers (A Sales Guy Consulting) In 2012, 73% of salespeople using social media outperformed their traditional counterparts, according to a a report issued by A Sales Guy Consulting. The top-selling sites of the year were, in order, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook. Despite this success, 75% of survey respondents said they have not received any formal training from their employer on how to use social media. Google is stressing that Glass is meant to be a uniquely tailored experience, and businesses that attempt to shrink their brand's mobile presence into Glass will be unsuccessful. Think of it as a wearable experience — users will literally be wearing your brand in front of them. According to a recent survey, only 11% of Twitter users think Twitter ads, such as Promoted Tweets are very effective, and only 5% say they think ads before or during online videos are very effective. Slightly more than half of the survey's respondents report having a Twitter account currently, and of those that do, just 13% said they often watch videos, including those from YouTube and Vine.
