Chicago's Bloody Aftermath On Thursday night, 13 people, including a boy who was only 3, were shot on a basketball court in Chicago. Gunmen Attack Shopping Mall in Nairobi Tragedy struck a Nairobi shopping mall on Saturday when several gunmen attacked shoppers with AK-47s and grenades. Although the story is still developing, there are reports of at least 20 dead and dozens wounded. The attackers are also believed to have taken seven people hostage. Witnesses say the gunmen told Muslims in the mall to stand up and leave, as only non-Muslims would be targeted. Authorities surrounded the mall to contain the situation, which the Kenyan Secretary of the Interior deemed "under control" six hours after it started. Although Nairobi sees its fair share of armed robberies, the attackers' comments on Muslims, as well as their apparently otherwise indiscriminate shooting at mall patrons, indicate that this may be a terrorist attack by Islamists from neighboring Somalia. The militant group al-Shabab has in the past threatened to strike the mall. However, no group has yet claimed responsibility for the ongoing attack. Read it at Telegraph OMG! 3. After what seemed like a turning point in relations between the two Koreas, another setback. North and South Korea agreed last month to schedule several cross-border reunions for families separated by the Korean War, which ended 60 years ago. But North Korea on Saturday backed out of the plan, which was scheduled to begin next Wednesday for the first time in three years. To blame? Certain conservatives in Seoul, who are accused of a "reckless and vicious confrontation racket" — a claim Pyongyang makes often. Can't we all just get along? Syria is finally revealing details of its not-so-secret chemical weapons cache for the world to see—almost. On Friday, the international organization tasked with monitoring and destroying the weapons said Syria has begun sending in details of the stockpiles, which are apparently very long and being translated from Arabic. But the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons postponed a Sunday meeting to discuss the disarmament implementation worked out by the U.S. and Russia.
