Diana Nyad, the 64-year-old endurance athlete who is the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage, said she won't be swimming long distances in seawater anymore. "I am through with the ocean," Nyad said on Tuesday. Instead, she will complete her long-distance swims in a portable pool so she doesn't have to deal with the waves and the jellyfish. Nyad will first take the pool to New York where she will swim 48 hours to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Then she'll go to Boston and Moore, Oklahoma, to help those affected by the marathon bombing and a massive tornado.
