After police in Ireland seized two blonde girls from Roma families—and then returned them when DNA tests proved they were actually related to their parents—activists denounced a new wave of persecution of this often misunderstood group. Healthcare.gov Glitches Under Fire Things got a bit heated during Thursday's House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing on the Affordable Care Act's rocky website rollout. Congressman Frank Pallone of New Jersey said he refused to yield "to this monkey court" when he received backlash from his charge that the GOP is focusing on the glitches in the healthcare website as a means of scaring people out of signing up for health insurance. Pallone addressed the concerns of many at the hearing. "There are a lot of ways to enroll, don't' be scared by my GOP colleagues into thinking you're going to lose your privacy," said Pallone. "There's no personal health information involved." Read it at NBC News TRAGEDY 3. Report: Teacher Killed With Box Cutter This just keeps getting worse. Sources close to the investigation tell CNN that Philip Chism, the 14-year-old student charged in the murder of his high school teacher, Colleen Ritzer, used a box cutter which he bought and then brought to school to kill her. Described as a "quiet young man," the star athlete allegedly killed Ritzer in a school bathroom before rolling her body outside in a recycling bin and leaving her in the woods. Police are still searching for a motive. Chism says he is not guilty of the grisly murder. Read it at CNN SICKENING 4. Police Kill 13-Year-Old Boy A Northern California community is reeling after sheriff's deputies fatally shot a 13-year-old boy carrying a pellet gun, which closely resembled an assault rifle. Andy Lopez was reportedly asked multiple times to drop the weapon, but instead raised it in the deputies' direction. Police say his back was turned to them and they didn't realize he was a young boy. The pellet gun looked remarkably similar to an AK-47 assault rifle, so when the teen turned and aimed it towards them, they opened fire. The unnamed deputies have been placed on administrative leave.
