Oh President Obama. No. The president took a smiling selfie with British Prime Minister David Cameron and Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt at Nelson Mandela's memorial on Tuesday, and the Internet is not happy. Neither, for that matter, was Michelle Obama. In fairness to Obama, Tuesday's memorial was considered a celebration of Mandela's life, including music and dancing. And he was not the only one taking selfies: former President George W. Bush took one with Bono. But fairness is not the Internet's forte. Twitter pretty much exploded with comments like "tacky," "not appropriate," "the worst thing ever"—and the Tumblr "Selfies at Funerals" said "our work here is done." Did Obama finally learn the lesson that selfies will always be on the wrong side of history?
