Four buildings at Harvard University were evacuated on Monday after unconfirmed reports of explosives. The four building include the Science Center, and Thayer, Sever, and Emerson Halls. Two of those, Thayer and Emerson Hall, have been reopened. The school canceled Monday's final exams. President Obama, a Harvard Law alum, has been briefed on the situation, and the White House said they will be in touch with local law enforcement. Federal and state officials have joined the search. "The HUPD has no reason to believe there is a threat to any other site on campus," Harvard police said in the message to students.
