A ferry carrying 459 people, many of them students, capsized and sank off the coast of South Korea on Wednesday morning. Officials said 293 are still missing. Two people have already been confirmed dead and 13 injured. The ship was traveling from the port of Incheon, in the northwest, to the southern resort island of Jeju, where many of the students were going with their teachers on a school field trip. It is unclear what caused the accident, though witnesses have reported the sound of the ship making impact with something before it began to capsize. "There was a big noise, then the ship started going down," one student told South Korea's YTV network. Murky waters and poor visibility are hindering rescue workers' efforts to find survivors.
