Obama's New War on ISIS May Be Illegal Legal experts are shaking their heads at the Obama administration's attempt to use a 2001 law authorizing a war against al Qaeda to justify strikes on ISIS. Pistorius Found Not Guilty of Murder A high court judge in South Africa says Oscar Pistorius is not guilty of murdering Reeva Steenkamp. Judge Thokozile Masipa made the announcement in a hushed courtroom Thursday as she summed up the evidence presented during the long trial. The judge has yet to rule on the lesser charge of culpable homicide, which could still result in 15 years in jail for Pistorius. Masipa said the evidence of some witnesses had to be "rejected in its entirety." Pistorius wept and hugged his lawyer as the judge slowly described her findings. She will make the rest of her judgment tomorrow. The defense had claimed that he killed his girlfriend when he panicked after mistaking her for an intruder, shooting her through a bathroom door at their home. Read it at The Guardian BUSTED 3. Cop: NFL Saw Ray Rice Video Months Ago A law enforcement official says he sent an NFL executive the elevator video of Ray Rice knocking out Janay Palmer in April. The official, who remains anonymous due to the ongoing investigation, played an April 9 voicemail from an NFL office number confirming receipt of the video. "You're right. It's terrible," a female voice said. In July, Rice was suspended for two games after TMZ posted the first video showing Rice dragging Palmer out of the elevator. In the aftermath of Michael Brown's killing in Ferguson, America is rushing to outfit cops with body cameras. Missouri Passes Three-Day Waiting Period for Abortions Conservative lawmakers in Missouri have increased the state's required waiting period for getting an abortion to three days. The Republican-controlled legislature overrode a veto from Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon. Previously, the waiting period was 24 hours. Nixon had called the bill "extreme and disrespectful" because it does not have exceptions for rape or incest. Missouri now has the second most stringent law.
