NO EVIDENCE

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster is claiming she has "chronic Lyme disease." Russell Saunders writes this is a controversial diagnosis with no scientific backing, no matter how much celebrity attention it gets.

UH OH

The Bridgeton, New Jersey police department has released video of a Dec. 30 encounter between two police officers and a black man that shows the officers shooting and killing him as he stood to get out of a car with his hands up in front of him. The confrontation between the two officers, Braheme Days and Roger Worley, and Jerame Reid, started with a traffic stop but quickly escalated. "Don't you fucking move!" Days is shown saying while he and Worley drew their weapons. "You're gonna be fucking dead. You reach for something, you're gonna be fucking dead!" After the cops said they found a gun in the glove compartment, they told the men in the car to get out. Reid can be heard yelling "Let me out of the fucking car" before getting out with his hands in front of his chest. The officers then opened fire nine times, from behind and in front of Reid, killing him. Days is black, Worley is white, and both have been placed on administrative leave while the police investigate the incident.

ORDER!

Today is the fifth anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision in Citizens United and protesters don't want the justices to forget it. A handful of people interrupted Wednesday's session to shout down justices to protest the notorious ruling. One woman rose after the justices were about to start the session at 10 a.m. to say, "I rise on behalf of democracy." Three police officers rushed over and "forcefully subdued her," according to SCOTUS Blog. As Chief Justice John Roberts tried to continue, a man stood up and shouted, "One person, one vote," and a couple of others followed suit. Roberts was heard sighing, "Oh, please."

DIPLOMATIC CRISIS

As Republicans and President Obama head for a collision over whether to slap more sanctions on Iran for its nuclear program, House Speaker John Boehner has invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to speak to a joint session of Congress next month. Boehner simultaneously pushed back on Obama's plea for Congress to delay more sanctions against Iran. The invitation for Netanyahu, which came just a day after the president's State of the Union address, would have the speech take place on Feb. 11. In private, Boehner told the Republican caucus that his response to Obama's plea was, "Hell, no." However, on Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest declared the move a serious breach of protocol, which is that a country's leader would contact the White House before planning to visit the United States. He also said the White House is reserving judgment until they've had a chance to speak to the Israelis about what Netanyahu will say.
