Today's advice comes from Jeff Dyer, a strategy professor at Brigham Young University and author of Innovator's DNA: "One day my father placed an ironed white shirt on the floor of the walkway in our house. The shirt stayed on the floor two whole days because none of his five children bothered to pick it up. He sat us down to talk afterwards, and since then, we learned responsibilities around the house. "I think all of us who are parents can teach our children how to be better questioners, observers, networkers, and experimenters in more innovative ways. Don't just ask 'What did you learn today?' Ask something like 'What was the best question that was asked at school today?'" Dyer, the co-author of "The Innovator's DNA" says that will lead to better, and more rewarding conversations.
