I have recently decided that fall is pie season. My reasoning is that cooler weather makes the idea of spending the day in the kitchen more appealing. Also, it's harvest time, which makes it easier to get your mitts on fresh apples and pumpkin. Mostly, though, I think there should be a pie season, and since right now is fall, I vote for that.
