From Dawn Rosenberg McKay, your Guide to Career Planning
We all know it's wrong to judge others based on their appearances. That apparently doesn't stop us. In a recent study, participants rated women wearing makeup as more competent, trustworthy, likeable and attractive (Etcoff, et al. Cosmetics as a Feature of the Extended Human Phenotype: Modulation of the Perception of Biologically Important Facial Signals).

Clothes Make the Man (or the Woman)
The judging doesn't stop with cosmetics. People also form opinions about others based on attire. For some industries, accounting and banking for example, that call for dressing conservatively, the choices are limited. This makes deciding what to wear a little easier. The more choices there are, however, the more room there is for making mistakes.

Questions to Ask Yourself Before You Dress for an Interview
What you wear for a job interview is even more important than what you wear to work. After all, you don't have much of a chance to prove your competence before the interviewer decides what he or she thinks of you. Ask yourself these questions before you leave the house.

How to Dress Professionally When Casual Dress is Your Norm
With more and more workplaces embracing casual attire, it's hard to know what to wear in situations that go beyond a typical day at the office. For example, let's say you have to go to a meeting or make a presentation to a client.

Where to Donate Business Clothes
For some people, the only thing keeping them from going on job interviews is that they can't afford to buy the proper clothing. If you have gently worn business attire you no longer want, here are some organizations that can distribute it to those who need it.
