What can't Charlie Sheen do?  -- Seriously, is there anything? Now he is trying to single-handedly put an end the Christopher Dorner crisis in California. TheDC's Taylor Bigler reports: "Actor Charlie Sheen this weekend released a 17-second video asking Christopher Dorner, the ex-Los Angeles Police Department officer who is accused of killing three people, to turn himself in. Dorner wrote a public 'manifesto' that name-checked Sheen, writing, 'Charlie Sheen, you’re effin awesome.' In the video obtained by TMZ, Sheen says, 'You mentioned me in your manifesto, so thank you for your kind words. I am urging you to call me. Let’s figure out together how to end this thing.'" The man is just constantly #winning. Is it premature to suggest Charlie Sheen for President in 2016? 2.) Campaign time, again -- After President Obama delivers his State of the Union Address, what is he going to do? Go to Disneyland? No, silly. He's going to take a campaign swing. TheDC's Neil Munro reports: "White House officials are promising a course correction in President Obama’s Tuesday State of the Union speech, and predict he will play up the claimed economic benefits of his progressive policies, according to a series of media reports. He’ll also head out on a three-day campaign swing starting Wednesday to promote his plans that 'focus on strengthening the economy for the middle class and those striving to get there,' said a Sunday White House statement. That’s a shift from his second inaugural speech, which he used last month to tout a series of non-economic goals including improved social status for gays and lesbians." The real question is: when is President Obama not campaigning for something? Perhaps his time would be better spent trying to build relationships with members of Congress. 3.) Pro-life push -- House Speaker John Boehner is facing more pressure on the right -- this time from the pro-life community. TheDC's Patrick Howley reports: "Two pro-life organizations are directly targeting Republican House Speaker John Boehner with a fierce new campaign, urging him to delay any new votes on the debt ceiling until the federal government stops funding Planned Parenthood. 'Why are we going into debt to kill innocent Americans?' asks a new 30-second ad from LifeCausePAC, which will air heavily in Boehner’s Ohio congressional district during the next six weeks. 'Mr. Speaker, you have the power to stop all of this. Please lead this nation in cutting the debt and saving babies. No more votes on the debt ceiling until we end borrowing for baby killing,' the ad declares." 4.) Grammys: Conservatives need not apply -- Conservatives say it ad nauseum: Hollywood is liberal. But perhaps nothing demonstrates Hollywood's leftwing tilt more comically than the one-sidedness of the Grammy Awards' Spoken Word category. TheDC's Jamie Weinstein reports: "If you’re a conservative, you are more likely to be appointed to President Obama’s cabinet than be nominated for a Grammy in the 'Spoken Word' category. ...More or less, the Spoken Word Grammy goes to the best audiobook of the year. A Daily Caller analysis of past winners and nominees for the Spoken Word Grammy dating back to 1997 reveals that precisely zero nominations have gone to a prominent conservative, while liberal comedians and politicians have had numerous nominations and wins. While conservatives are apparently incapable of putting out a stellar audiobook, Jimmy Carter appears to be a Spoken Word wizard. Since 1997, Carter has been nominated six times in the Spoken Word category, winning once." Whatever accolades history has denied Jimmy Carter, Hollywood seems intent on making up with Grammy Award nominations for his shitty books. 5.) Tweet of Yesterday -- Mayor Booker: My aide Charlie just asked if I wanted to help shovel people's driveways today. Hey Charlie, I'm the fucking mayor, and you're fired. [Editor's note: As should be obvious, this is a parody account, not the actual Twitter account of Newark Mayor Cory Booker.] 6.)
