France's Parliament on Friday approved gay marriage, putting it on track to be legal by this summer—despite that the country remains divided over the issue. French President François Hollande has already promised to sign the legislation. The country has been in somewhat of a crisis over the issue: the Roman Catholic Church has led fierce opposition to gay marriage, and many French people are against adoption by gay couples, which would be allowed under the new legislation. Amid Pentagon reports that it would be "inaccurate" to suggest that North Korea has proven its nuclear-missile ability—despite a classified report from the Defense Intelligence Agency on Thursday—U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Seoul. In a news conference, Kerry reaffirmed the U.S.'s support of its allies and called North Korea's ramped-up rhetoric "unacceptable." He said that the U.S. would be willing to enter talks with Kim Jong-un only if he's serious about denuclearization. Asked if war is imminent, a U.S. official in Seoul said "not at all." Three CA Teens Arrested After Girl's Suicide Three teenage boys were arrested Thursday in California for the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl who committed suicide after photos of the alleged attack were published online. "Based on what we know, she was unconscious. There were multiple boys in the room with her," said attorney Robert Allan, who represents the girl's family. "They did unimaginable things to her." The Santa Clara district attorney's office did not comment on the case, because the suspects are minors. The arrests come in the same week as the world reacted in horror to a similar case involving a Canadian girl who killed herself amid alleged bullying after being raped.
