IRON FIST
The protests in the Umbrella Revolution in Hong Kong are reminiscent of those that rocked China 25 years ago, as thousands have taken to the streets in response to Beijing's heavy-handed ways. Brendan Hong reports on the movement the Chinese government fears could spread much farther and faster.
LET'S BE HONEST
The HBO host of the popular new show Last Week Tonight insists he's not committing random acts of journalism. He's wrong, says Asawin Suebsaeng, and that's exactly what sets his show apart from The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.
CONNECTING THE DOTS

The prime suspect in the disappearance of University of Virginia student Hannah Graham has been linked to a 2009 abduction and murder of another Virginia college student. State police said forensic evidence links Jesse Matthew to the case of Morgan Harrington, a Virginia Tech student who went missing during a visit to Charlottesville, where UVA is located. Matthew's arrest in the Graham case has "provided a significant break" in the Harrington case, "with a new forensic link for state police investigators to pursue," officials said in a statement. Harrington's DNA was collected from remains discovered three months after she went missing. A student at Liberty University in Lynchburg also accused Matthew of raping her in 2002. Police are in their third week of looking for Graham.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu argued before the UN General Assembly on Monday that Hamas and ISIS were "branches of the same poisonous tree." While Hamas's "immediate goal is to destroy Israel," said Netanyahu, it "has a wider goal the same as" ISIS's. "Militant Islam spares no one, no faith and no ethnic group," he said. Netanyahu also warned the General Assembly about working too closely with Iran in the fight against ISIS. "To defeat ISIS and leave Iran as a threshold nuclear power is to win the battle and lose the war," he said.
