BREAKING NEWS: AmEx EPS Tops Views, Revenue Falls Short

Dow component American Express posted 4Q earnings after the bell that topped expectations, though revenue fell slightly short. The company earned $1.01 a share on revenue of $7.7 billion, while analysts had expected the financial-services giant to earn 98 cents a share on revenue of $7.9 billion. The stock is slightly lower in after-hours trading.
