Iran Iruns away from its anti-nuclear fatwa  -- Dean Dullard -- Obamanomics  -- Obama’s girl no more  -- Poll of the Day: Jews support Obama, but less than 2008  -- Tweet of Yesterday
1.) Iran Iruns away from its anti-nuclear fatwa -- Iran’s apologists liked to wax poetic that the Islamic Republic would never seek nuclear capability since Ayatollah Khomeini issued a fatwa against the atomic bomb (though it was never clear the edict even actually existed). But even if it does indeed exist, it seems it doesn’t matter all that much since the Iranian regime is backing away from its reported contents, relays Reza Khalili for TheDC:

"Iran is now telling the world that in order to confront aggression from America and Israel, it must have nuclear weapons. Official Iranian media outlets published a commentary Sunday titled 'The necessity for the Islamic world to have the atomic bomb,’ laying the groundwork for Iran’s refusal to accept limits on its illicit nuclear program … ‘The fatwa from Imam Khomeini [the founder of Iran's Islamic revolution] said all Islamic countries have Islamic blood,’ Forghani wrote. ‘Therefore the Islamic world should rise up and shout that a nuclear bomb is our right, and disrupt the dreams of America and Israel."

Fortunately, all the Iranian regime wants is peace — except, of course, when it prophesizes the destruction of Israel, funds the terrorist group Hezbollah, threatens the United States and represses its own people. Besides that, the regime’s just swell.
2.) Dean Dullard  -- How did we fail to elect Howard Dean president when we had the chance in 2004? This American treasure, this great analyst of our age, shared some of his profundity at the Netroots Nation conference over the weekend, reports TheDC’s Josh Peterson:

"Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean wasted no time comparing GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney and the Republican Party in general to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad during the progressive Netroots Nation 2012 conference Saturday in Providence, R.I. … ‘You know, I think it was President Ahmadinejad in, back those days in 1850,’ said Dean, referring to the anti-American and antisemitic rhetoric of the Iranian president. ‘They’d like maybe that again? I don’t know what the Republicans want, but let them go someplace else and stop doing it to us, ’cause our country’s a great country,’ said Dean."

Of course! Mitt Romney is the exactly like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad — and Dr. Howard Dean is just like Dr. Gregory House.
3.) Obamanomics  -- TheDC’s Neil Munro reports on the president’s private sector activities when he lived in Chicago:

"President Barack Obama wants his 2012 re-election campaign to focus on Gov. Mitt Romney’s private-sector record, but his own private-sector history shows that he promoted and profited from the nation’s disastrous real-estate bubble … Obama is using the housing bubble’s damage to win re-election. On the 2012 campaign trail, he blames the bubble for his administration’s record unemployment numbers, its deficits and its debt, while claiming Republicans created the bubble in the first place. The president, however, has never been questioned about his role in the scandal and the ensuing economic disaster."
4.) Obama's girl no more  -- The “Obama Girl,” who appeared in YouTube videos professing her love for then-candidate Obama in 2008, is no longer salivating over The One, reports Zach Gorelick for TheDC:

"Amber Lee Ettinger, widely known as ‘Obama Girl’ during the 2008 presidential campaign, told The Daily Caller she is ‘not as excited as I was the last time, that’s for sure.’ … ‘At this point I’m keeping that to myself,’ she told TheDC. ‘If I’m not making videos, I’m not sure it’s anyone’s business who I’m voting for this time around.’"

That’s not what you would call a ringing endorsement. But even Van Jones admitted this weekend that left-wingers are just no longer “in love” with Obama. When you’ve lost Van Jones and the “Obama Girl,” things just aren’t going well.
5.) Poll of the Day: Jews support Obama, but less than 2008  -- Gallup poll asks Jewish Americans who are registered to vote who they support in the presidential race: President Obama 64%, Mitt Romney 29%. Obama received 78% of the Jewish vote in the 2008 presidential election.
6.) Tweet of Yesterday  -- Eli Braden: Get wasted and eat floorburgers. RT @DavidHasselhoff: Got a big birthday coming what should I do? Looking for suggestions..
