Michael MooreOn -- Bad Santa --  Boehner gets bupkis -- It's Never Sunny in Damascus -- Tweet of Yesterday -- Today in North Korean News
1.) Michael MooreOn  -- Is there anyone as dishonest and intellectually challenged in the political arena today than Michael Moore? (Hint: No.) TheDC's Caroline May reports on the latest station promoting his nonsense:

"Friday night, on the heels of last week’s mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn., the left-leaning Current TV is planning to air progressive filmmaker Michael Moore’s ten-year-old Columbine documentary 'Bowling for Columbine,' with Moore revisiting the film to accuse American gun-owners of being motivated by racial fears. ... 'Now, not every house has a gun but we’ve got over a quarter-billion guns in people’s homes. And they’re mostly in the suburbs and rural areas where there is virtually no crime and no murder. So why is that? What are they really afraid of? What do they think of — who’s going to break into the house? Do they think it’s little freckled-face Jimmy down the street? I don’t think so. I don’t think that’s who they’re afraid of. And it cuts down to the heart of our race problem that we still haven’t resolved. And I thought it would be interesting to take a look at that in the movie.'”

There may be a reason Current TV counts its viewers on two hands.
2.) Bad Santa -- Santa might need to go to rehab. TheDC's Caroline May reports:

"A Bronx health clinic is promoting their services with a new video featuring Santa Claus distributing free needles and condoms. CitiWide Harm Reduction (CitiWide) posted the video 'Santa Passes Out Clean Needles for Christmas' on its website for the holiday season. The video features not only Santa, but clinic workers dressed like elves dancing to José Feliciano’s 'Feliz Navidad' with various needles, drug kits and condoms."

If this reminds you of Christmas, then TheDC Morning really hopes you get better, Charlie Sheen.
3.) Boehner gets bupkis -- He came. He saw. He did the opposite of conquer. TheDC's Alexis Levinson reports:

"Speaker of the House John Boehner sent the House home for Christmas Thursday night, opting not to bring his 'Plan B' bill to the floor when it became clear that he did not have the votes within his own caucus to pass it. It is a major defeat for Boehner and the House Republican leadership, who have spent the past two days pushing hard for the bill at the expense of negotiations with President Barack Obama. Thursday morning, Cantor confidently declared 'we’re going to have the votes to pass' Plan B. Boehner made an equally confident declaration Wednesday that, 'Tomorrow, the House will pass legislation to make permanent tax relief for nearly every American.' Evidently, they spoke too soon."

Hope you are waking up from a good sleep, because a certain Speaker of the House is not.
4.) It's Never Sunny in Damascus -- The opposition rebels fighting Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad are on the verge of victory, according to a long-time defense analyst. But what's to come doesn't look so great. TheDC's Jamie Weinstein reports:

"While the end of the Assad dictatorship may be rapidly approaching, Syria’s post-Assad future doesn’t immediately look particularly bright. Various Islamist militias are considered to be the best-armed of the rebels. In fact, perhaps the most effective fighting force, Al Nusra, is strongly linked to Al Qaida in Iraq and was recently designated a terrorist organization by the Obama administration. If the Assad regime does collapse as predicted, it will be these Islamist forces who will wield power, at least initially, according to [Syrian scholar Andrew] Tabler. 'I believe that those who are taking shots against Assad, will be calling them once he’s gone, at least in the interim,' he said.""

Doesn't that sound lovely?
5.) Tweet of Yesterday -- Ryan Lizza: Followed Ryan, Boehner, and McCarthy exiting the building (separately). Three very unhappy men.
6.) Today in North Korean News -- BREAKING: "Kim Jong Il's Short Biography Posted on Internet Homepage of Germany"
VIDEO: Miss Venezuela gives stupid answer, wins third place

LEONARD LEO: Thank you, Judge Bork -- Conservative intellectual Robert Bork, who passed away on Wednesday, dedicated his life to preserving the Constitution and the rule of law.
