HOT OFF THE PRESSES

No one is safe from France's cartoonists: An Islamic cleric worries terrorists will steal his virgins and the pope calls women "cocksuckers." Tracy McNicoll gets her hands on the hottest newspaper in the world.

SOLIDARITY

The new issue of Charlie Hebdo, defiantly portraying the Prophet Muhammad on its cover, sold out before dawn across Paris on Wednesday. French supporters scrambled to find copies of the "Je suis Charlie" issue throughout the city, just one week after the harrowing attacks on Paris that left 17 dead, including 12 at the satirical magazine's offices. The magazine's surviving staff worked out of borrowed offices to put out the issue with a print run of 3 million, or more than 50 times the usual circulation. VĂ©ronique Faujour, head of printers for Messageries Lyonnaises de Presse, told The Telegraph the print run will be raised to five million, while up to one million copies are expected to be sold Wednesday.

KNEE SLAPPER

Not everyone thinks Jeb Bush is a strong presidential candidate. David Freedlander reports Republican donors say Mitt Romney is certain that "a Bush can't beat a Clinton."

DASTARDLY

Michael Robert Hoyt, a bartender in Deer Park, Ohio, was indicted Jan. 7 for a plot to kill House Speaker John Boehner. Hoyt, 44, who had served Boehner drinks at the Wetherington Country Club for more than five years, allegedly planned to poison Boehner. He called police Oct. 29 and blamed Boehner for his life's troubles a week after being fired; when officers visited his home a week later, Hoyt "told the officer he was Jesus Christ and he was going to kill Boehner because Boehner was mean to him at the country club and because Boehner is responsible for Ebola." Officers later searched Hoyt's home and found weapons and ammo; he has since been taken into custody.

PAY ATTENTION

The federal government's case against the proprietor of a website that was the "Amazon of drugs" could forever alter how we all use the Internet. Nick Gillespie asks: Since when was the desire for privacy evidence of criminal intent?
