NEW YORK/LONDON (Reuters) - Some shareholders of Verizon Communications Inc say they could be happy for the company to pay up to $130 billion for Vodafone Group Plc's stake in their U.S. wireless venture.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - General Electric Co has won U.S. antitrust approval to buy oilfield pump maker Lufkin Industries Inc , a $2.98 billion deal that will allow GE to sharply increase its presence in the fast-growing market to extract oil and natural gas from shale.
